A full-frontal nude photograph of Madonna taken in 1979 has sold at an auction in New York for $37,500 (ВЈ25,000).

The image, taken by photographer Lee Friedlander, was bought by an anonymous phone bidder at Christie's auction house in the US city yesterday (February 12) reports Contactmusic.

The image was taken by photographer Lee Friedlander while Madonna was an aspiring dancer. It originally appeared in Playboy magazine in 1985.

Lee Friedlander paid her just $25 (ВЈ16.60) to pose for him in 1979.
