AC/DC Norway concert ends in violence
20 February 2009Telenor Arena in Fornebu just outside Oslo Wednesday evening Feb. 18, 2009. It was AC/DC'sВ first performance in Europe on their Black Ice World Tour
Concert-goers were forced to endure long traffic jams to get to the venue.
The problem got worse after the gig, with stationary traffic and apparent poor transport links leaving many people stranded.
Norwegian website Budstikka.no reports that things soon turned ugly with many fans venting their anger on police officers - throwing bottles at patrol cars and tearing down fences erected to control the crowds.
Local police blamed poorly organised transport systems and frustrated alcohol-fuelled rock fans for the breakdown of order after the gig, according to the website. No arrests were made.В
