In the nineteenth year of the band’s history, the tenth studio album is now to be released

After LACRIMOSA had released its concert film in 2007, which had shown the Swiss-based band on an eighteen-month tour across the planet, they began in December of the same year to record the tracks for this, their tenth studio album, “Sehnsucht“ (= longing)!

When LACRIMOSA published the title of their new album, the question was raised as to why they hadn’t given an album this title much earlier, after all, according to statistics drawn up the Argentine fan club, this was the most frequently used word in LACRIMOSA lyrics. Furthermore – and nobody had been aware of this at the time – the same question has now become even more relevant with release of the present work, since the word “longing“ does not even appear once either in the written text or the lyrics on this album – it appears only in the title of the opening track 'Die Sehnsucht in mir' (= the longing within me).
