Penni O’Sullivan was born in South Africa, and educated in London. Her passion for music began in the living room of her South African Grandmother, who loved to sing Gospel music.

Now Penni passionately sings jazz and blues. This has led her to perform in the small stages of jazz clubs, (Swinging Hall) and in the big stages of National Concert Halls, (Zala Bugaria). She has been based in Bulgaria with her family, since 2002. She is also a board member of a charity that is very close to her heart, The Cedar Foundation, which helps to better the lives of orphaned and disabled children.
This Saturday, Penni will joinВ Bulgarian avantguarde bandВ Bluba Lu forВ their unique live experimentВ -В 'Quadrotopia'.

"I have sung with jazz bands and even orchestras but always singing traditional jazz standards. I have not sung Electronic Nu jazz before and this is Bluba Lu’s speciality. Singing this type of Nu jazz has been a challenge for me but I have enjoyed myself so much that I am wondering why I haven’t done this before!"

"Bluba Lu is more than a band! It is an idea that captures an adventurous spirit of creativity and love for music and sounds. Bluba Lu’s producers Dimitar and  Kostantin are not afraid of  creating  sounds and rhythms that are not usually heard in popular music. Working with them and singing together with the other girls is such great fun. Laughter always fills our time in the studio! I can’t wait for our concert in NDK this Saturday!"

Tickets for the show priced 20 BGN (10 Euro) are on sale through ticketstream.bgВ andВ eventim.bg and at teh boxoffice of the National palace of Culture in Sofia.
