A plot of land once owned by Aleister Crowley – the self-proclaimed ‘most wicked man in the world’ – has been put up for sale. The plot, on the shores of Loch Ness, would be an ideal site for a holiday cottage, according to local estate agents Accursed, Damned & Sinister.

The plot (pictured below) is situated at Boleskine Bay - which explains why occultist Crowley was dubbed ‘the beast of Boleskine’.

Crowley owned the Boleskine Estate between 1899 and 1913. The estate was the focus for many of Crowley’s demonic activities and experiments. His house later became the home of Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.

There has been interest in the 1.9-acre plot of land because of the Crowley connection. Crowley’s home is owned by different people but this plot has been in the same family for 40 years.

The land has 140 feet of the Loch Ness foreshore and planning permission for a three-bedroom log house. It is listed for ВЈ176,000.

The estate agents’ brochure claims the area is perfect for fishing, shooting and hunting, an activity also favoured by Crowley, who took his pack of bloodhounds on manhunts across the estate.
