It’s called THE BOX and is owned by the same people who run the BLUE BOX club. The venue, with a capacity of around 300 is conveniently located in central Sofia – 41 “Stamboliiski” blvd.

The grand opening takes place tonight (Friday) with a gig, promoted by Re-Act, those nice people who have brought or will bring soon the likes of Biohazard, Napalm Death, Agnostic Front, Madball and Hatebreed to Bulgaria’s capital.

Tonight’s show will be more hip-hop oriented, with the main culprit being ILL BILL , member of cult band La Coka Nostra.  It’s a long-awaited first Sofia appearance for the Brooklyn rapper, whose Bulgarian gig last year had to be rescheduled for his next European tour.

Proceedings will kick-off at 9 p.m. and are expected to continue well into the early hours of Saturday morning.
La Coka Nostra is a supergroup of sorts, with a line-up of Danny Boy (House Of Pain), dj Lethal (House Of Pain / Limp Bizkit), Big Left (Underground Professionalz), Slaine (Special Teamz) and, of course,В  Everlast (House Of Pain).
