The Who to play acoustic gig for cancer charity
12 May 2009Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey will perform a rare acoustic gig on May 21st in London at the Legends & Youth Ball at Emirates Stadium in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Daltrey has been a longtime patron of the trust, and next week's show will coincide with the wrap of co-sponsor, the Arsenal Football Club's season.
The surviving Who members last performed acoustically on April 15th, 2008 at the TCT benefit at London's Royal Albert Hall where they were joined by touring Who touring guitarist - and Townshend's younger brother - Simon Townshend for a six-song set.
