Here’s a Porsche that just won’t go away. A little over 14 months ago the 1990 Porsche 964 C4 was listed for sale by METALLICA’s former tour manager. Now, more than a year later, this 911 (previously owned by Metallica’s Kirk Hammett) is once again for sale on eBay but with a slightly reduced still absurd price."

A description reads as follows:

"Imagine driving Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett's Porsche 911 C4 jamming to Metallica on the stereo he paid $20,000 for back in 1990. Kirk's car stereo was featured in one of the Car and Driver type magazines (I've not been able to track down the exact details and Kirk just doesn't remember.)

This collectors dream is a direct descendant of the awe inspiring 959 SUPER CAR! In 1989 an engineering dynasty was created. Porsche proudly introduced the C4 (The peoples 959) in limited production numbers with speeds over 180mph, precise power assist steering and it's unmatched all wheel drive handling capabilities of a true race car.

The C4 is one of the most competent road going cars in the world. This fine example is in excellent condition and is barely broke in with only 50,000 miles. It is hard to believe it is 20 years old. It has been well taken care of by the Metallica family. There has been over $100,000 invested in this machine. The original manuals, window sticker and signed documents are included."
