FREDDIE MERCURY memorial to be unveiled in West London
12 October 2009A memorial to Freddie Mercury will be unveiled in Feltham town centre next month.
The Queen singer who lived in the area will be remembered with a Hollywood-style star outside the town centre library.
"I am delighted that at last we are honouring Freddie Mercury's memory and his achievements with a permanent memorial." Councillor and memorial organiser Paul Jabbal told the Richmond and Twickenham Times.
"As well as celebrating his life and success, it can serve as a reminder to local people that it doesn't matter where you come from, if you work hard you can succeed in whatever you do." He added.
The memorial will be unveiled on November 24.
