Bulgarian radio stations in no quarter warfare over forthcoming ZZ Top concert!

The legendary Texas trio is finally coming to Sofia for a massive show on 21st October after their previous gig in Bulgaria, a festival appearance back in 1999, was cancelled due to Billy Gibbons contracting hepatitis. Back then we had the consolation of seeing an in-form Metallica headline.

Everything seems to be running smoothly this time round, with ZZ Top fans trembling in anticipation and keeping their fingers crossed for some glorious weather for the open-air gig at Sofia's 'Akademik' stadium.

Meanwhile two local radio stations have crossed swords (or more likely - handbags) as to who the show's main media partner actually is.

The crew at Star FM were less than impressed upon seeing on TV that the gig they've been promoting so zealously (as main media partner) is in fact being touted as an icing on the cake event in honour of rival radio Z-Rock's birthday.

A rather lively promotional clip running on bTV informs us that ONLY Z-Rock are giving away 100 free tickets for the concert. Feeling somewhat violated, Star FM - who had also began giving away 100 tickets - have now increased that number to a whopping 102 briefs.

Guess there's something girly and cute in saying: "You're right, you're the ONLY one giving away 100, cause I am, in fact, offering 102, so there!"

Of course more important than anything else will be the weather forecast - let's all pray for some sunshine and warm temperatures, but in any case we'll definitely all eb there to see Tres Hombres.В
