Rap group attract the investment in less than a month

Public Enemy have raised over $50,000В from fan investment to help fund the recording of their next album.

The rap collective who earlier this month signed a deal with fan funding engineВ SellaBand, , are trying to raise $250,000В in order to record and release the as-yet-untitled album.

'Believers' as Sellaband call them, can invest varying increments of $25 in exchange for things like: copies of the album and limited edition t-shirts, up to executive producer credits and even a studio visit whilst the group record the album.

В PUBLIC ENEMY were one of the first hip-hop acts to go crossing the borders with the metal world, recording in 1991В together withВ ANTHRAX the hit single 'Bring The Noise'!
