After a number of well known rock and metal bands made their feelings on the subject of GMO known to the general public, now it's Bulgaria's turn to make a stand!

Parents, registered in the "BG Mama" portal sent us an important message:

"As a reaction to the changes in the GMO laws undertaken by our government, we demand that Bulgaria be a GMO-free zone!"

The resons for these demands are listed in an open letter, already delivered to the aforementioned institutions. To further enhance their cause "BG Mama" have started a petition, which has already been signed by over 700 people in less than two days. Not content with that, "BG Mama", along with some non-government organizations and other groups are organizing a protest on Jan 13th, 2010, between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. in front of the North entrance of the Houses of Parliament!
