As previously reported, we will present all the bands who participate in our brand NEW ACTION - 'WHO'S THEВ HOTTEST BULGARIANВ NEW BAND'.

AMARANTH (initially called Anastasis) was formed in July 2003 in the city of ShumenВ by Jenny (lead vocals), brother Stanimir (solo guitar), and Nikolai (rhythm guitar) who composed their first song 'Inside'.

Later that year David (drums) and Krasi (bass) joined the band. 'Inside' was soon followed by 'Lay my Faith in You', 'Eternity' and 'You'. The band performed at schools and local rock fests and was welcomed by the younger audience who loved the inspiring sound and the balladic lyrics which distinguished the band from mainstream rock bands in Bulgaria.

In 2005 bass guitarist Krasi quit the band and was replaced by Spas. In 2006, after suffering a setback, the founder members decided it was time for dramatic changes. The band name was changed to AMARANTH (a flower that never fades) and drummer David was superseded by Yasen (formerly with Cynthia). By the end of the year, lyrics were being written in Bulgarian and the band had found what they had long been missing – youngest member Ivan (bass guitar). The band image and sound were changed for good.

During that period the band made some of their best songs – 'Ne Iskam da Poviarvam' (I don’t want to believe), 'Dajdovnite Kapki' (Raindrops), 'Moiata Istina' (My truth) and 'Pak Zaedno' (Together again), which quickly gained popularity after the band started performing in local pubs and caught media attention.

Latest song is called 'Bez Teb' (Without you) and is a result of the band’s gradual transformation and professional growth. Vote for AMARANTH HERE!
