Bassist Rex Brown of Pantera/Down fame has begun a new project dubbed ARMS OF THE SUN.

The band also feature Luke Hebert (King Diamond) on drums, Ben Bunker (Gryn) on guitar and Lance Harvill on vocals and guitar. The group tracked 13 songs for their debut outing with producer Terry Date (Pantera, Soundgarden, Deftones) at Willie Nelson’s Pedernales Recording Studio in Austin, TX late last year.

They expect to release the effort late this month through Extreme Music and will launch an official website at this location shortly.
