A mysterious artist who does not like to speak about himself or about his past. "Only the music matters in the end," he says. "All the rest is dust in the wind." What about the music then? Who writes MatheW's songs? "I do nearly everything on my own: music, lyrics, singing, playing, sound mixing… I also work with different talented musicians (sometimes for one song only). But still the greatest part of the job is done by me." Fascinating! Does that mean he is also playing most of the instruments in his songs? "Yes. But I don't want to make enhanced remastering of the sound because it loses its naturalness. I don't like bands that sound perfectly in the studio but fail to perform their own songs live. For me, the real music is the live music."
