After netting an impressive 16 goals in their three pre-season friendlies, our good mates from Chernozem FC went down 2-3 in their first home game of the season proper. As you already know, the coolest footie team in Bulgaria wears the logo of the coolest rock radio in the land on their shirts.
The home game against Bania started well enough for the hosts, as Yanko Gaytanski belted in a beauty of a goal following a glorious pass from Mitko Stoychev.

The visitors then levelled the score and even had the audacity to go in front, before the unstoppable Gaytanski scored again at the beginning of the second half.
Unfortunately Chernozem's star striker was then forced to go off with an injury after being kicked off the park numerous times by the away side, who then proceeded to score a winner ten minutes from time.В 

Meanwhile we received no fewer than 186 emails in our quest to find - a cool nickname for Chernozem FC. The "Jitball" crew decided on "The Tangra Warriors", sent in by Dimitar Savov from Sofia.

Savov wins a Chernozem top and an autographed football - he will receive the goodies at Tangra's very own library. The winner was understandably chuffed and asked us to hide his eyes in the above photo, so as to escape being stalked by other envious listeners. The Chernozem home top also bears the Jitball logo on the back.

This Saturday The Tangra Warriors are away to Borislav (Parvomay), hoping to obliterate last week's disappointment with three points.
