There’s to be no new Orange Goblin album for a while.

The band have announced that they’re putting all recording plans on hold, although it certainly doesn’t mean the end for them.

In a statement, Goblin say:

‘With everybody’s commitments to work, family and other things, we have decided that it is best that we do not commit to any deadline for the next album, as we wouldn’t want to rush and deliver a record that we are not 100% happy with. Songwriting will continue as and when we can, but we honestly couldn’t say when we will be ready to go into the studio to record again; it will definitely NOT be in 2010. Please rest assured that it will happen but sometimes it is better to stop and think of what is best for Orange Goblin as a band!’
