Iggy Pop is considered one of the first people to stage dive, and he's been doing it recently despite being 62 years of age — a time when most people are getting ready to retire.

But the Godfather Of Punk has decided he'll no longer stage dive after jumping off stage at New York City's Carnegie Hall last month. He hit the ground because nobody caught him, and ended up with bruises.

"When I landed, it hurt, and I made a mental note that Carnegie Hall would be a good place for my last stage dive," Pop said, according to the World Entertainment News Network. "The audience were just like, 'What are you doing?'"

Pop was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame earlier this month with The Stooges. In late 2009, Pop said The Stooges have plans to tour this year with original guitarist James Williamson.
