KRAVAYВ - this was the place to be for metalheads, punk rockers, sophisticated new wave snotty snobs et al during the 80s in Communist Bulgaria.

Free thinkers and rock'n'roll afficionados gathered there to discuss, argue, bicker and banter about their favourite bands, music and fashions. Most parties took off from there, most kids were conceived there too.

"We discussed everything - from the utter shitness of Communism to the latest Motörhead album. Some put it down in poems, others wrote it in books or songs. Most of those songs have been recorded now, the words published, the films finished, " says one of the original Kravay heroes and adds:

"One of our mob, Emil Todorov, who now lives in the US, started this Kravay reunion group in Facebook, hoping we'd all get together some day and have a wicked mash-up".В В 

This facebook group now has 334 members from all over the world and 308 archive photos from back in the day. So now we've decided to have a proper meet-up. This will happen on May 13 at 7 p.m. and the place is, of course, Kravay.

People living overseas are already booking flights and a jam session has been planned with all the musos that used to frequent Kravay, so get on it!
