Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones dominate the Sunday Times' 2010 Rich List of rock, with the Beatles legend the wealthiest artist of the year at a net worth of ВЈ475m.

Stones singer Mick Jagger is in second place at ВЈ190m while guitarist Keith Richards is third with ВЈ175m, followed by Rod Stewart, David Bowie, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne and members of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen and the Who.

But McCartney, a regular appearance at the head of the rock chart, is only fourth in the overall list of top-earners in the music industry – way behind Warner Music boss Edgar Bronfan, who's number one with £1.64bn to his name. Andrew Lloyd Weber has £700m, Sir Cameron Mackintosh has £635m, Elton John has £185m, Sting has £180m and Simon Cowell has £165m.

Picked out of the full chart, here's the rock rundown:

1 Paul McCartney ВЈ475m (4 overall)
2 Mick Jagger ВЈ190m (7)
3 Keith Richards ВЈ175m (10)
4 Rod Stewart ВЈ105m (22)
5 David Bowie ВЈ100m (23)
6 Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne ВЈ95m (24)
7 Roger Waters ВЈ85m (26)
= Charlie Watts ВЈ85m (26)
9 Robert Plant ВЈ80m (29)
10 David Gilmour ВЈ78m (32)
11 Brian May ВЈ75m (33)
= Jimmy Page ВЈ75m (33)
13 Roger Taylor ВЈ70m (35)
14 John Deacon ВЈ60m (38)
15 Nick Mason ВЈ50m (41)
16 John Paul Jones ВЈ45m (44)
17 Pete Townsend ВЈ40m (46)
Ronnie Wood of the Stones has dropped out of the list after what he calls "bad management" and a divorce settlement saw his value plummet from around ВЈ100m to just ВЈ20m.
