The RIAA has handed out its Gold and Platinum certifications for the month of March, and Sade’s first album in a decade, Soldier Of Love, promptly went Platinum after just one month in stores. Fans purchased more than one million copies of the record to earn Sade its seventh Platinum award in their 25-year career.

The Beatles earned March’s top album award when their 2000 hits compilation, 1, crossed the 11 million sales mark to go 11x multi-Platinum. Having sold 176 million albums, The Beatles are the most certified band in the RIAA's G&P history.
