VAN HALEN, METALLICA and KISS hot rods on display
14 June 2010Two Van Halen hot rods will be on display at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis from June 12 through September 12, 2010. The exhibit is called 'Rock Stars, Cars and Guitars.'
David Lee Roth’s 1951 Mercury custom four-door convertible with toothy 1953 DeSoto grille. This extensively modified 1951 Mercury was featured in Van Halen’s 'Panama' video, and David Lee Roth’s 'California Girls' video, which was nominated for Best Video at the 1985 MTV awards.
'Hot For Teacher' 1932 Ford Hi-Boy Phaeton used by Van Halen and featured in the classic video 'Hot for Teacher.'
Other cars included are a 1999 KISS Plymouth Prowler and a 1953 Buick Skylark used by James Hetfield of Metallica.
