Exhibition Of PHIL LYNOTT Memorabilia To Be Held In Dublin This Weekend
30 September 2010According to the Irish Independent, Philomena Lynott — the mother of late THIN LIZZY legend Phil Lynott — will officially launch an exhibition of his memorabilia this weekend as part of the Hot Press Music Show in the RDS in Dublin, Ireland.
Among items being displayed this Saturday and Sunday are four guitars owned by Lynott — on which he wrote such THIN LIZZY classics as 'The Boys Are Back In Town' and 'Dancing In The Moonlight' — tour jackets worn by the singer, flight cases used by THIN LIZZY, lyric books and Lynott's shares in Manchester United Football Club.
"The shares were a birthday present from me to Philip. You couldn't have gotten him a better gift because if Philip hadn't been a musician, he would have been a professional footballer playing for Manchester United, his favourite team," Philomena told the Irish Independent.
