Max Cavalera, Joe Nunez, Marc Rizzo and Bobby Burns entered Porch Studio in Florida on September 12 to begin recording Soulfly‘s sixth studio album for an early summer 2008 release via Roadrunner Records.
So far the band has completed nearly all drum, bass, rhythm and lead guitar tracks. It got clear that Max has been traveling throughout Egypt and Siberia with recording devices, and when he returns he will begin to mold the samples, noises, and music that he collects during his travels into the framework of the 13 songs. Some of the working titles include “Burndown”, “Enemy Ghost”, “Axis of Wrath” and “Blood, Fire, War, Hate”.
The mix of the album shall be handled by Andy Sneap. It is also rumoured that Morbid Angel frontman David Vincent is going to take part in the production…
