The Irish rockers U2 completed their huge Vertigo Tour with a grandiose concert in Honolulu on December 9.
They were joined on stage by members of Green Day and Pearl Jam, who were their support band.
Billy Joe Armstrong sand with Bono their charity song “The Saints Are Coming” and Eddie Vedder and Mike McCready made a cover of Neil Young’s hit “Rockin in the Free World”.
U2’s world tour started in the spring of 2005 in the USA, went through Europe, went back to the States, South America, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and ended on Hawaii.
Vertigo Tour is the second-highest grossing tour of all time behind the Rolling Stones’ A Bigger Bang.
The band are now set to retire to the studio to start work on a new album, due out next year.
