Australian rock ‘n’ roll legends ROSE TATTOO are back in the studio recording a new album with veteran Australian producer Mark Opitz (INXS, COLD CHISEL, KISS). The first single from the album is “Black Eyed Bruiser“, a song written by the band’s original production team, Harry Vanda and George Young, who also were AC/DC‘s producers.
There are three additional tracks on the single which were recorded live in Sydney Australia at the Pete Wells Benefit Concert a few months before Pete passed away. The songs — “Rock ‘n’ Roll Outlaw“, “Remedy” and “Astra Wally” — are all blistering versions recorded on a very special night when the Australian music industry came together out of respect to honor Pete Wells, the founding member of ROSE TATTOO, who was diagnosed with prostrate cancer.
The band’s royalties from this single will be donated to the cancer foundation that Pete also supported before his death.
