RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS’ Anthony Kiedis Launches Canned Coffee Brand

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS vocalist Anthony Kiedis has followed in the footsteps of GREEN DAY by launching his own coffee brand.

The company is named JOLENE, an amalgamation of the phrases “cup of Joe” and “lean latte” (the latter of which refers to a latte without whole milk), while also referencing Dolly Parton’s iconic song. Co-founded with Kiedis’ longtime friend Shane Powers, the brand offers two varieties of canned coffee: Black (cold brew) and White (oat milk latte).

JOLENE sources its beans from an all-female co-op in Peru, aiming to ensure “high-quality beans while directly supporting the women growers and their communities,” according to a press release.

Kiedis and Powers have partnered with Live Nation, which will act as both an investor and distributor of JOLENE at festivals and 40 of its venues. In addition to the canned offerings, the concert promoter will feature the coffee in four signature cocktails.

As Billboard points out, Live Nation struck a similar deal with the canned water company Liquid Death back in 2021.

JOLENE is also available for purchase online. A 12-pack of the cold brew variety costs $33, while the oat milk latte option is $36.
