Before Dave Grohl became a rock star – first through NIRVANA, and then again via the FOO FIGHTERS – he spent most of his youth in Virginia and became a fixture of the Washington D.C. punk and hardcore scene, eventually joining D.C. notables SCREAM.
Before, during, and after Grohl‘s tenure in the band, SCREAM released a small handful of albums through Dischord Records, the iconic record label co-founded by MINOR THREAT and FUGAZI frontman Ian MacKaye. As such, it should come as no surprise that Grohl holds MINOR THREAT in relatively high esteem.
Today, as they continue to celebrate their 30th anniversary, the FOO FIGHTERS have formally shared their take on MINOR THREAT track ‘I Don’t Wanna Hear It.’ And while the FOO FIGHTERS originally recorded the cover circa 1995, the vocals were only completed this year, thus its new release.
