Not too many artists can get our attention with a mere 30-second tease, but we make an exception for PJ HARVEY.
Through February 14th, she’s recording her new album in public, as part of an elaborate performance art installation at London’s Somerset House, aptly titled Recording In Progress. She’s recording the album with Flood and John Parish, and apparently you can go there and watch, through glass, if you leave your cell phone at the door.
But the more important point here is that there’s a new PJ HARVEY album coming this Spring. The brief clip above is a tantalizing first taste, a simple riff, but with a tone from a stranger place than hell, cleanly sliced by that unmistakable voice.
