EVANESCENCE vocalist AMY LEE is quickly making her YouTube channel something that music fans must subscribe to as she continues to use the platform to record covers of songs that mean something to her.
After offering up her renditions of PORTISHEAD‘s ‘It’s a Fire’ and a reconstructed version of U2‘s ‘With or Without You,’ LEE is now taking on a LED ZEPPELIN classic.
The video she shot is for her cover of LED ZEP’s ‘Going to California’ and she’s able to maneuver around Robert Plant‘s vocal nuances within the song with the best of them. Like her other two postings, b covered the track because it holds personal relevance to her. She revealed in a posting on her Facebook page:
The video itself finds Lee splitting time shrouded among the trees and leaves of a wooded area and visibly smiling while singing in a recording studio. Lee reveals that the guitar and mandolin in the song was provided by Jordan Berliant.
