ICE-T’s metal band BODY COUNT will release their fifth album next year, he’s confirmed.
It’s to be called Manslaughter, and follows 2006’s record Murder For Hire.
In a tweet following the band’s appearance at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Texas, the frontman says: “We called last night the ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ – we’re back! The new BC album 2014. Manslaughter.”
Rapper and actor ICE-T, real name Tracy Lauen Marrow, and guitarist Ernie C are the only remaining founder members of the band who launched their controversial self-titled album in 1992. It was re-released the same year without the track Cop Killer.
Original drummer Beatmaster V and guitarist D-Roc The Executioner both died of cancer, in 1996 and 2004 respectively.
Bassist Mooseman was shot dead in 2001.
