Axl Rose ran out of patience Saturday night and had a fan ejected from the Guns N’ Roses show in Vancouver.
“Out, mother**ker!, Out!,” yelled Axl from the stage, “Dumb-ass mother**ker, get the f**k out!.”
“Ya, that guy,” continued Axl, pointing the guy out to security. “’Oh, what did I do?’” he said mockingly. “The Asian little dips**t. See ya, ya dumb-ass mother**ker!”
Rose and DJ Ashba both waved at the fan, and then Axl broke into a version of “Happy Trials.”
“Happy Trails, to you, hope we don’t meet again,” sang Axl as the fan was being ushered out of the floor area. “He looked like Kumar” (referring to the Harold And Kumar movies).
“That’s the first person I’ve had thrown out for 100 shows,” said Axl from the stage. “Like the good old days.”
Fan reports online suggest the guy was causing trouble on the floor and trying to start fights with other GNR fans.
“On behalf of the city, I’d like to thank you for not tearing the place up,” Axl said at the end of the show. “I apologize for my part in any past affairs.”
Rose was referring to the November 2002 riot in the city when GNR’s first show on the “Chinese Democracy” tour, at GM Place, was canceled just hours before it was to begin. Upon hearing the news, fans rioted and things got ugly, with Vancouver police injuring some fans outside the venue.
