Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland makes some interesting claims in hisВ autobiography Not Dead & Not For Sale.
He says he was raped by a “Big, muscular guy” when he was 12 years old.
He also recalls how a mutual desire for drugs brought him close to Courtney Love and how he only really joined Velvet Revolver for financial reasons:
“The money attracted me. I can’t say it was the music of my soul…we came out of necessity, not artistic purpose”.
Weiland further admits that a line of cocaine led to his downfall with the band.
