No big surprise there, seeing as Brian Molko and Nasso Ruskov are sort of chummy from way back in 2003, when Nasso and Ivo’s then new band – Imbeciles – opened Placebo’s first ever show in Bulgaria.
After the Imbeciles moved to London they supported Placebo on their short 2004 UK tour, playing two nights at Brixton Academy and Manchester Apollo. Brian and co even used the Imbeciles’ ‘Pincers’ in their intro mix tape for that tour.
Nasso and Ivo returned to Bulgaria at the end of 2008 to rejuvenate BF Clan, who will now be opening for Placebo at their Sept 13th show in the ‘Winter Palace of Sports’.
Placebo are currently on their ‘Battle for the Sun world tour’. They’re bringing their very own LED wall, made up of five separate mobile units. Molko and co will be playing tracks from their latest album, as well as all the old glorious Placebo hits.
