What happend at SONISPHERE at Switzerland

Last Friday, during the hot line with Anthrax in Switzerland, drummer Chalie Benante told us:

It’ raining like crazy here!” (read the entire interview)

It was only the second day of the bigВ Sonisphere trip and the 55 000 fans at Degenaupark in Jonschwil were stuck in water and mud.

Megadeth had a surprise in store for the Swiss crowd during their last song. While ending their set with ‘Peace Sells’, Anthrax’s Scott Ian got on stage and joined in the chorus. Earlier in the day Anthrax actually stopped the rain. Before launching into ‘Indians’, Anthrax’s lead singer Joey Belladonna implored the crowd to, “do a wardance to stop this rain.”

The bands playing at the Swiss Sonisphere were Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Motörhead, Volbeat, Rise Against, DevilDriver, Amon Amarth, Alice In Chains, Stone Sour, 3 Inches Of Blood, Smoke Blow, Atreyu, Bullet For My Valentine.

MUDDY

We are getting back to this last week event only to point the luck we all had down here in Bulgaria with only 20 minutes of violent rain during the Megadeth set on Tuesday.
