Orgy — the nu-metallers more famous for their shittastic version of New Order’s “Blue Monday” than any of their own material — are rumoured to be the next early ’00s group to reunite.
Ex-guitarist Ryan Shuck recently did a video interview (which was posted on Blabbermouth) in which he said Orgy could tour sometime later this year after he finishes a jaunt with Julien-K, his electronica project with fellow ex-Orgy guitarist and Dead By Sunrise member Amir Derakh.
“I probably shouldn’t say a lot of about this, but I’ve kind of got a stick up my ass about doing something with Orgy,” Shuck said.
“We’re gonna be doing a tour — Julien-K — most likely, I’d say, in June, maybe after, in Europe, and if we do something with Orgy, that means we will have played a full tour with three different bands in one year. Pretty awesome. All original bands, all original content. It’s starting to become a sort of a challenge and something I really wanna do.”
ORGYВ signed with Korn’s Elementree Records imprint and released their Candyass debut in 1998. Vapor Transmission followed two years later, and the band put out one more album — 2004’s Punk Statik Paranoia — before splitting up.
