Atari Teenage Riot Are Reuniting

The German hardcore techno quartet will play a one-off show at London, England’s Electric Ballroom on May 12, just five days before they release a new single. Alec Empire, Nic Endo and Hanin Elias will be joined by MC CX Kidtronik at the gig.

‘Activate’ will come out May 17 through Atari Teenage Riot’s Digital Hardcore Recordings. It’s the band’s first recorded output since 2000’s ‘Rage E.P.’ single.

Atari Teenage Riot formed as a reaction to creeping neo-Nazi views and sentiments in German techno. The band quickly made a name for themselves with their anti-fascist, political tunes.

They released three albums — 1995’s Delete Yourself!, 1997’s The Future Of War and 1999’s 60 Second Wipe Out — before splitting in 2000.
