Green Day had bad news for fans in MelbourneВ last Monday, the band’s frontman came down with what they suspected was food poisoning. (A bad vegemite sandwich perhaps?). As a result they rescheduled their show on Monday night for tomorrow (Wednesday Dec 16th). At press time it looks like that new show is still a go.
В
Here is what the band’s website had to say: The Frontier Touring Company regret to advise that a sudden illness has struck down Green Day lead singer Billie-Joe Armstrong (food poisoning is suspected).
В
Although Billie-Joe was determined to performВ on Monday nightВ it became apparent at 4.30pmВ that he would be unable to take to the stage – particularly in light of the lengthy 2.5-3 hour show the band traditionally perform.
В
Monday’s concert will be rescheduled toВ Wednesday 16 December. All tickets remain valid and as allocated and do not need to be exchanged.
