The artist who did SEPULTURA’s Dante XXI artwork speaks on Tangra.

Stephan Doitschinoff is not exactly full Bulgarian. Only his grand father is and moved to Brazil after 2nd World War.

From 2005—2008, Stephan Doitschinoff traveled throughout the Brazilian countryside of Bahia, painting site-specific murals on adobe houses, chapels, and even a cemetery. In the small village of Lençóis, he collaborated with local artisans, and expanded his research into the rich history of Brazilian folklore and the syncretism between Christian theology and African spiritual traditions.

Stephan Doitschinoff

Stephan is a close friend to the former Sepultura drummer, Igor Cavalera who asked him to do the artwork for the ‘Dante XXI’ album. And Stephan did a tremendous job.

Does he know anything about his grandad’s country?

Does he know anything about Bulgarian rock, art and culture?

And is the departureВ of the Cavalera brothers from Sepultura deeply regreted by the fans in their homeland?

We’ll askim this and more tomorrow (Friday) at 11:30 BG time (10:30 am CET)
