Velvet Revolver are to call their new album ‘Libertide’. Currently in production, the record should be released during the late Summer.

The Magic Numbers are heading back to the studio to create the follow up to their Mercury-nominated debut album.The band will begin recording in May at the Allaire Studios in upstate New York, reports US music mag Billboard.The music will be produced by Richard Wilkinson who worked with the band on their self-titled debut.

Scottish metalheads Mendeed are to headline Subverse 45, which happens in London at the Camden underworld on May 7. Also on the bill are Big Hand, A Day Called Desire, and The Red October. The fun starts at 2pm, running until 6pm.

Vaux have finally signed a new deal. It’s with Outlook Music. Their new album, ‘Beyond Virtue, Beyond Vice’, is due out in August. The record was originally expected out last September on Atlantic.

According to the official Queensryche website, Rhino Records has bought the band’s Q2K album from Atlantic Records for re-release. Limited edition signed copies will be made available soon and a free Q2K baseball cap will be included in the package.
