EMI will release a retrospective Megadeth box set, entitled “Warchest”, on October 15. The collection will contain four CDs revealing the a-quarter-of-a-century-long career of Dave Mustaine & Co., as well as a DVD. The exact contents of the discs are expected to be revealed soon.

California’s pop punk rock superstars The Offspring have completed 13 songs for their new, as yet untitled studio album. The follow-up to “Splinter” (2003) is being produced by Bob Rock, best known for the work he’s done for Metallica, shall appear no later than the very beginning of 2008.

Century Media announced the signing of guitarist, songwriter and producer Waldemar Sorychta’s new band, Eyes of Eden.
