Veteran German thrashers Destruction are to headline the Irish Day Of Darkness Festival, which happens in Ballylinan, Co. Laois on July 7/8. The full list of bands is:JULY 7 – Moonsorrow, Geasa, Sorrowfall, Ground Of Ruin, Minds Astray.JULY 8– Destruction, Primordial, Morphosis, Hexxed, Mass Extinction, Aftermath, Primed, For Ruin, A Distant Sun, Nothing is Sacred.

311, Jurassic 5, the Wailers are the first artists set for the second U.S. edition of U.K.’s Download Festival. The event will encompass two concerts: Aug. 20 with the aforementioned bands at the Tweeter Center outside Boston and Sept. 30 at Shoreline Amphitheatre near San Francisco, with a lineup to be announced.
