Converge have finally started work on a new album. It’s being self-produced, and should feature 13 songs. As yet untitled, it’s expected to be released later this year.

311, Jurassic 5, the Wailers are the first artists set for the second U.S. edition of U.K.’s Download Festival. The event will encompass two concerts: Aug. 20 with the aforementioned bands at the Tweeter Center outside Boston and Sept. 30 at Shoreline Amphitheatre near San Francisco, with a lineup to be announced.
