Guns n’ Roses are to play two shows in New York next month. These will be on May 15 and 17, at the Hammerstein Ballroom. They’ll be warm-up dates for the band’s UK/European commitments.
Rancid are to release a DVD in July. As yet untitled, this will feature 31 videos, shot between 1993 and 2003. The punk heroes won’t have a new album in the shops until next Spring.
The Lostprophets are to play the Newport Centre on April 27. They’ll also be on the bill for the Give It A Name Fetsival, which happens in Manchester and London on April 29/30.

Sham 69‘s Jimmy Pursey has adapted the band’s hit song ‘Hurry Up Harry’ for the World Cup. He’s recorded a version called ‘Hurry Up England’. All proceeds from sales will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Ronnie James Dio is not re-joining Black Sabbath. The legendary singer is currently collaborating with guitarist Tony Iommi on a planned box set based on the band’s Dio era, and this will include new songs. But there will be no tour.
