Former Judas Priest and Iced Earth and current Yngwie Malmsteen singer Tim “Ripper” Owens is working on his first solo album. The CD, due out next year, will include various guest appearances from a.o. guitarists Bob Kulick and Chris Caffrey and bass players Dave Ellefson, Billy Sheehan and Rudy Sarzo.

Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan and his side-project Dirty Little Rabbits has inked a deal with The End Records.The band is tentatively planning on releasing a new EP in January and a full-length in April 2009.
