Rancid’s Tim Armstrong is to release a solo album on May 22, 2007 on his own label, Hellcat Records. The CD is to be called “A Poet’s Life”, and will come packaged with a bonus DVD featuring a video for each of the 11 songs on the record.

Tony Lovato, former frontman of the US pop-punk band Mest which disbanded a year ago, was arrested and charged with murder last Sunday.
