Displeased Records will be reissuing the two classic ’80s thrash albums from ATROPHY — 1988’s “Socialized Hate” and 1990’s “Violent by Nature” — before the end of the year. The CDs will be remastered, include bonus material, lyrics and biography.

AUDIOSLAVE has set “Original Fire” as the first single from its upcoming third album, titled “Revelations“. According to a label representative, the song is expected to hit radio stations around the middle of July. There’s no official release date for the CD yet, although that is tentatively planned to arrive sometime in September.

TO/DIE/FOR will release their fifth album, “Wounds Wide Open“, on October 4 in Finland. Dimmu Borgir are currently writing material for their next full-length. The group plans to enter the studio this October to begin tracking the effort. Nuclear Blast Records will release the album sometime in early-2007. The band will be working with the producer Fredrik Nordström.
