After being closed down due to reason beyond the managers’ control, Sofia-based live music club 8th Ball shall reopen on Christmas. The club shall be located in a new venue, situated on the corner ofВ Rakovski Str.В Рё Kiril & Metodiy Str. The grand opening shall happen on December 25В with aВ Christmas Ska Party.

Former Jane’s Addiction bass player Eric Avery shall release a solo album, entitled “Help Wanted” (view cover in the left), via Dangerbird Records. Due on April 8, 2008, the effort will include guest appearances by Garbage vocalist Shirley Manson, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea.

After their impressive performance at the 20 Years Nuclear Blast Fest in Sofia, Bulgaria a month ago, The Revenge Project announced they’ve got a new bass player. The guy’s name is Chavdar Zhechev (on the photo), known for being part of the line-up of another Bulgarian extreme metal band – Damage Extreme.

Anthrax have announced the name of the person who’ll replace Joey Belladonna on the microphone. The singer’s name is Dan Nelson (on the photo), hailing from the band Devilsize. You may check out Dan’s voice with his former band HERE.

Yesterday, after toxicology results were received, it’s been officially confirmed that Kevin DuBrow – lead singer of Quiet Riot, who was found dead on November 25 at his Las Vegas home, has died of an accidental cocaine overdose. Kevin was 52 years old.
