Poland’s death metal veterans Vader have announced they’ll be releasing a DVD via their native label Metal Mind Productions in October. As obvious from its title, “…and Blood Was Shed in Warsaw”, the effort features footage recorded live during one of the band’s shows in Poland’s capital.
The doom metal machine The Hidden Hand, fronted by former Saint Vitus and Obsessed man Scott “Wino” Weinrich, has officially split up. Wino is now to concentrate on his new project Shrinebuilder, formed together with Scott Kelly of Neurosis and Chris Hakius and Al Cisneros of OM.
Bulgaria’s extreme metal gang Overdawn has uploaded a brand-new song on Tangra Mega Rock’s homepage. The track, entitled “Wasted Times”, comes off the band’s upcoming second full-length studio album and is available for free download HERE. The follow-up to Overdawn’s 2007 debut “Bleeding Wounds” is going to be recorded this fall.

Manic Street Preachers have announced they’ll be releasing their next single, entitled “Indian Summer”, on October 1. What’s special about this effort by the Welsh is that it’s going to feature four brand-new tracks – “Heyday of the Blood”, “You Know It’s Going to Hurt”, “Lady Lazurus” and “Anorexic-Rodin”.
