Deep Purple are to play at this year’s Montreaux Jazz Festival, the 40th anniversary of the event. It happens from June 30 to July 15. There are unconfirmed reports that attempts are being made to persuade guitarist Ritchie Blackmore to re-join the band for this one-off occasion.
